Serve your family

Watch to shock your family? Find a way to help.

There are many benefits to doing something that helps:

  1. Serving your family will significantly enhance your relationships with your parents and siblings. They will be grateful and sincerely appreciate your efforts.
  2. You will find a way to become useful and productive.
  3. Serving will help you learn how to do things and become independent. You will experience what it takes to run a household.
  4. You will gain confidence.

What to do

Pick one thing that you can manage daily. Decide to do it every day for your family. Own it completely.

  • Washing dishes
  • Dealing with the trash
  • Mowing the lawn and doing yardwork
  • Picking stuff up and keeping things neat around the house
  • Folding the laundy
  • Cooking a meal during the week or on the weekends
  • Vacuuming and cleaning the floors
  • Ironing cloths
  • Running errands

What I do

I try to wash the dishes every day for my family. This takes a load off the cook and helps everyone enjoy the day.

  • When things get difficult, take it in stride:
