Based on a book of the same title, this movie is about a man who was dedicated to his job, but tragically ignored what was most important. The story is set in England just before World War II, and shows the consequences of feckless leadership. Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson’s acting is a tour de force. Highly recommended for 11th and 12th grade students.
